After numerous rejections from publishers and a slow start in sales, word-of-mouth enthusiasm finally lifted This Present Darkness onto a tidal wave of interest eo spiritual warfare. Poorly developed story I’m reviewing this book from a readability standpoint.

IF you liked this book, you are going to like Peretti’s newest book, Illusion. While I understand their Biblical significance, the scenes in which John sees a lamb seem a little awkward and forced to me, particularly the scenes toward the end of the book.

If you liked Peretti’s other works, such as The Oath or the Present Darkness series, the trend in reviews seems to indicate that you won’t enjoy this as much. Peretti writes well, and I was intrigued by the characters. Throughout the entire book you follow the story of a TV anchorman, a reporter, a rebel son, and families and friends dealing with death s. It is interesting to see that much of what was going on even 10 years ago when this book was written is still hot trigger topics today.
